Between 1994 and 2002, vocalist/pianist/composer Patricia Barber recorded five critically acclaimed albums for Premonition Records. These albums helped re-define the sound of jazz vocals in the new era. They led to Ms. Barber's signing to Blue Note Records, for whom she continues to record. Now, Barber has authorized Premonition to choose and remix ten tracks from its catalog and release them as PATRICIA BARBER REMIXED. The Remixes were done by Glenn Stella, a well-known guitarist and studio musician on the New York scene whose career began in the late 1970s punk world of CBGBs and has led him to a busy career mixing and building tracks for rap artists such as Eric B, the metal-funk group Disaccociate and many others. The album includes remixes of songs from each of the albums Barber made for Premonition and provides an unquestionably fresh perspective on Barber's compelling artistry.
